Common questions
How do I install Shadow?
Open the downloads page, choose the installer for your Mac or Windows computer, and follow the installer. Then continue in your browser to connect the desktop app to your workspace.
Why does Shadow need system access?
The desktop app needs operating-system permission to capture the context you choose to record. Shadow walks you through required permissions during setup. You can pause capture whenever you need.
Why can’t I see my workspace?
Make sure you signed in with the email invited to the workspace. If you belong to more than one organization, select the correct workspace in the browser before connecting the desktop app.
Where are my workflows and patterns?
Open your workspace after uploads finish processing. New activity appears as batches first; workflows and recurring patterns appear after Shadow has enough evidence to reconstruct and compare task attempts.
How do I control what is captured?
Pause Shadow from the desktop app and use supported exclusions for displays, window titles, and browser URL patterns. Review those settings before working with sensitive material.
How do I report a security or privacy concern?
Email hello@aalpha.ai with “Shadow privacy or security” in the subject. Avoid including sensitive captured content in the first message.
